It looks like the Mountain-type has a smile on her face as she sprints away from Toronto!

Check out Steve Danko’s great colour shot and narrative of this event…

(I was fairly certain that this image was taken around Brimley Road in Scarborough. The current satellite image, however, doesn't quite match. My apologies if I missed the mark).

  1. My goodness, another Steam shot!!! I’ve heard thru the grapevine you love steam so much you even steamed your grouts !!

  2. Yes, Arnold… you heard that almost correctly (but I’m not sure who you were talking to). Although I live south of the 49th, I still steam my sprouts – it is a Canadian thing – they taste much better that way. (Stephen: Mr. Mooney started this 22 minutes after the picture was posted… blame him – I had nothing to do with this silliness, lol).

  3. I’d say it’s Brimley Road too. A lot has changed. An underpass was built in 1984.

  4. Very nice shot Peter. The 6060 is a beautiful engine, and the super elevated curve really adds to the photo.
