A year and a half before the last Northlander run, GP40-2 ONT 2200 with its ex-F7B APU and train of Northlander coaches are having their regular Friday night through Saturday layover outside VIA's Toronto Maintenance Centre. The usual power for the Northlander in its last years was an O.N.R. GP38-2 in the 1800 series.
