Caption: Built in 1853 the Caledonia Mill was operational processing wheat into flour from 1857 until roughly 1960. In 1983 after the mill had changed hands many times it was granted heritage significance status. Today it is owned and taken care of by Caledonia Old Mill Corporation. The past couple of years it has featured a Christmas light show though after this past winter the light show has ended and the future of the old mill is uncertain.

Pictured is RLHH 599 crossing the Grand River this afternoon with RLHH 3403 and 9 empty ballast cars. They were dropping ballast along the Hagersville Sub near Cainsville this afternoon before returning to Garnet.
