Caption: I have had the pleasure to photograph this station only a couple of times. The first time, I saw that the owner was on site, walked up and into the station where he and a few of his friends were having a couple of beers - politely introduced myself and asked if I could wlak around and take a few photos of the old station. Before I knew it - he grabbed the hand that was holding the camera - and in a polite way, asked if he could comphiscate my camera! When I politely refused, and explained further why I wanted to photograph the station, he gave me permission and apologized because he thought I was with the Building Commission for Norfolk County. The owner apparently had secret plans to sell the land and the station, to a developer who wanted to demolish the station and build condos overlooking Silver Lake. He didn't want those 'historical preservationists' to know about his plans so that they could fight to save the staton. He limited me to the outskirts of the fence around the station. This photo was my second time photograhing the building, and I never forgot the owners words. The station still stands, and hasn't been torn down yet.
