Caption: Amongst all the new signal lights, electrical work and tie replacements along the Guelph sub, this old CNR rail plate, with its shiny new spike, seems to have survived the retrofits to live a few more years.
Interesting shot Bill. If you look on the Ontario Southland Railway-Guelph Junction Railway tracks, their tie plates still say CP.
Hope you got a good shot of the 3394 this morning.
That’s shocking considering the Guelph Sub is former CN and OSR runs the former CP Goderich Sub….
Well done
Great shot of an often overlooked detail. I like photos like these, pics of switch stands, locks, derails, signs. The more rusty the better.
