With number 9 beginning to produce steam the ALco heads out to make up the train for her on this July 1st. ETR no.9 was built by MLW in 1923 for the Essex Terminal Railway where she served her life until 1960 when she was retired. Built by 3 men in St. Thomas from about 500 peices she then pulled trains for the St. Thomas Central Railway, when they had to close the operation was moved to Waterloo where she now pulls trains for the renamed Waterloo Central Railway.
