CP #9016 sits waiting for a turn to unload at the Roberts Bank terminal in July 1993. I had ridden behind the Royal Hudson to Squamish on what had been a very wet afternoon through those clouds in the background of this scene. But when the sun popped out driving back toward the States, I decided that the only chance to find anything in that area to take advantage of the clearing skies would be if there was a coal train staged at the port waiting to unload. I was rewarded with this CP SD40-2F red barn sitting perfectly in the evening sunshine.

  1. response to an admin request/question. At that time my camera gear consisted of 2 Olympus SLR bodies with a normal 50mm lens and a 75-150 Zuiko zoom. So this photo would have been taken with the OM-1n and the 75-150mm zoom at 150mm.
