Caption: The railroads have been gone from Prince Edward Island for over 25 years. This image, like something out of the Canadian prairies, today shows not a trace of what used to be. Station, yard, trackage and outbuildings all vanished. New development is encroaching the area. It looks so nice and quaint in this photograph, not unlike the Island itself. The station appears neat and tidy, showing a lot of pride being taken in maintaining the surroundings, something we rarely see anymore. Thats probably the Agent's car parked to the side. Compared to today's offerings, it looks like a barge out of the Northumberland Strait. L-o-n-g or what? :O)

Almost looks like a prairie shot!
Love these images of the Island. Don’t be shy keep them coming
Thanks for bagging this one too. Yah, a big boat of a Caddy. You wouldn’t want the gasoline bills for that car today.
That boat is a Mercury Gran Marquis! Nice highway cruiser boat! And would that be a potato loader ‘elevator’ on the left, where the hopper is spotted?
