Caption: After this Via special failed to depart Niagara Falls at 1940 as expected, I kept an eye out to see when it would depart. Having a feeling the passengers probably partied a bit much in the Falls, I guessed a departure of around 10pm. From there, I frequently checked on my ATCS Monitor. As soon as it was lined up, I headed down to the St. Catharines station. It was already at Glenridge by the time I got there, and I had little time to set up. I was very indecisive about what kind of picture I wanted, and finally decided to go for an exposure shot, knowing a regular picture would turn out terrible. Sure enough, I forgot to raise the F-stop, and things were a little bright. Oh well. Here, Via 90 hops over the notorious bump at the station en route to Toronto at a healthy 50mph. I do hope those with wine held onto their glass. For power was Via 6409, an LRC club car and the Glen Fraser. Via Rail consists are very rare in Niagara now as trains 90 (the regularly scheduled one), 92 and 95 were mothballed due to budget cuts in late 2012. Niagara Falls, being a popular tourist destination, has influenced charters thankfully.
