Caption: Every Monday and Thursday, CP 421 drops off a few cars at Utopia, and sometimes picks some up as well. This time it's picking up two ex RaiLink Geeps, CCGX 1755 and 1808. Owned by Cando, they spent the last couple of years at the yard in Utopia, presumably for spare parts to supply BCRY 1001, that delivers cars to CP from industries in around Barrie. However, these two units appeared mostly to be a display case to me at least. Well, their time to go has come, and CP 421 here gets ready to take them to Winnipeg. There, they will most likely join the deadline of CP GP9u's that are currently there, awaiting a buyer. My guess is anyone wanting these battered units is a torch, as vandals and rust have taken their toll on them. 1755's heritage dates back to the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1956 (nee PRR 7058). Meanwhile 1808's heritage dates to the Rock Island in 1960 (nee CRI&P 1334). They surely have seen a lot. It's too bad that road is likely at it's end.
