Caption: Trainman Gerald Turner prepares to couple Terra Transport baggage car 1308 and coach 764 to NF210's 927 and 935 just prior to the departure of Mixed Extra 935 West at Bishops Falls, Newfoundland on April 16, 1988. Formerly known as Train # 203, this mixed train with a passenger only consist would travel 138 miles to the city of Corner Brook by crossing the Gaff Topsails, the highest point of the railway on the entire Island at 1550 feet above sea level. The only passengers to travel the entire route that day were the photographer and his friend Paul, one other, a cabin owner who had gotten on Millertown Junction would depart at Gaff Topsail. This scene was on borrowed time as just a few months later on September 30, this train and all other rail service in Newfoundland would be shut down for good and the rails removed.
