Caption: 219, a 4-6-0 locomotive built by MLW in 1907, sits in Cochrane Yard surrounded by years of plant growth. She was originally numbered 119 for the Temiskaming and Northern Ontario Railway, renumbered in 1935 and then sold to Normetal in 1938. Ontario Northland required her in 1975 for a planned excursion train that never did materialize. The Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre bought her in the summer of 2012 for the sum of $5001, and was eventually transported to their facility at Capreol in the spring of 2014. When I stumbled across her she was clad in a coat of sealant (to prevent aspestos from leaking into the environment) as well as missing a smoke stack (which has since been reattached).
