Caption: Departing Agincourt Yard May 4, 1980, CP Rail train #942 enters the high rail at Staines, Ontario with a seventies superpower trio 4729 (M636) / 4565 (M630) / 4737 (M636). The big M units had a propensity to leak – anything – witness the fresh oil stains on 4729's front fuel tank, 4565 is in fresh Multi Mark paint and shows evidence (blistering paint) of possible exhaust leak and/or turbo overheating below the exhaust stack and likely the head end crew is happy they are not occupying leak prone 4737 where the cab is covered in oil thrown off the sixteen cylinder ALCO designed engine. Note the CP script on the fifty foot box car behind 4737 and the graffiti is on the Old Finch Ave. underpass. Kodak Kodacolor II ASA100 negative transported by a Nikon Nikkormat EL. Photographer S. Danko.

I was five when this was taken, grew up about 20 minutes away, and lived for every single trip past that yard! This was why. Please keep the fantastic shots coming!
