It is said that Nicholas Morant championed displaying Canada through his lens to promote the landscape. One such demographic was the Canadian Rockies. Johnston Creek, with the ever dominate Castle Mountain is said to be one of the other areas Morant was famous for shooting at, besides the curve so famously carrying his name. Thanks to a friend, I had the opportunity, minus the scaffolding to capture an eastbound in Morants footsteps.

  1. Very nice, Christopher. Love that big mountain backdrop.

  2. This shot could be on the front cover of a hard-cover book about Canada and her trains. Such a book could be full of photos found here at Railpictures.ca. Maybe young people would not be interested in such a book, but folks with a few decades under their belts would be. It would be the ideal gift to send to friends and family living abroad.

  3. Very well executed.
