Caption: Its the last day of 2013 and Via Rails Canadian is seen streaking southbound across the historic Fraser River Bridge towards CNs Thornton Yard and points east. The bridge is a major junction point, connecting New Westminster and Surrey and sees rail traffic from CN, CP, BNSF, SRY, Amtrak, Rocky Mountaineer and Via. Towering above the Fraser River Bridge is another historic and important crossing, the 78 year old Pattullo bridge, which is the subject of a proposed more modern replacement bridge. To the right, behind the Pattullo gives a brief glimpse of one of the Skytrains bridge spans.
