Caption: A teaser, I know..I had planned a trip to visit family in Sarnia on the weekend, but the 402 was basically closed most of the weekend. Extreme winds and blowing snow usually lead to one thing on our Plow stabling railroads.. right? So with no plans on Monday morning I headed to Stratford to see if anything was running, and I was gifted with this sight in front of the station. The time is 0830 and 581-16 will plow instead of run freight to Goderich, for the first time with two GW orange units.
Where's the action? You'll just have to stay tuned - later this week I'll post an action shot. In the meantime, I'll turn over the show to those that photographed OSR today - seeing that they called the plow for Tuesday the 17th 2015. Quite honestly, had Family Day not occurred - Monday would have been a two plow day in SW Ontario. A thought: There are not that many locations left in North America, if any, that have such a possibility of two plows in a day, are there? Discuss below.
