  1. CP had these cars too. They were a pain, had to be handled next to the van (caboose) or after cabooseless trains started, with one empty car behind them. This was because they had no air brakes, just a handbrake.
    On CP, they were restricted to 30 mph. That was a good thing, if there was one ahead of the van and you watched the scale test car at 30mph..it was ‘shimmying’ all over the place
