Caption: How to impress a non-railfan. After work one day in summer 1994 I wanted to bag the westbound Roadrailer on the Galt sub. I had a colleague with me in my K-car who had expressed a mild interest in our hobby. Knowing that 3046 was typically on the Roadrailer I was following the trains progress on the scanner as we drove along the Gardiner, highway 427, highway 401 and finally highway 6 and finally down to the east siding switch at Puslinch. We got out of the car and set up for the shot. Barely 20 seconds after our arrival and after never once seeing the train on the way to Puslinch, the 3046 popped under the highway bridge with a dozen or so Triple Crown trailers. Needless to say my colleague was impressed. Only a couple of months later we hit the road to Sand Patch, PA.
