Caption: Back in Hamilton - this spur is what remains of the Hamilton Radial Electric Railway right of way - leased by Ontario Hydro jointly to TH&B and CNR in 1947. Since then, heavier rail was laid, the right of way rebuilt to approach the "Steam" railways of the time, TH&B has given way to CPR and CNR is now served by the Southern Ontario Railway. In the background are storage tanks for Rutgers VFT Terminals. The train pictured is CP's night Kinnear yard job, nearly done or the day and returning back to the yard. The four cars in tow are from A&M Metals by Parkdale Ave and a tank from VFT.
The time is 1100 exactly - this and the next two posts from me are a series I'll title - '36 minutes in Hamilton'.
