Caption: Not exactly a common sight. A high priority CP intermodal freight stopping practically in the middle of nowhere. CP 101 has come to a stop just short of Side Road 25. The reason? I am unsure myself, as my radio is broken. Scanning the tracks for trains as I do sometimes, I noticed an approaching northbound that appeared to be moving rather slow. I decided to head up to Side 30 in hopes of seeing it there. By the time I was there, I noticed the headlights of 101 had still not passed the signal just north of 6th Line. I returned to Side Road 25, and as I was coming up the crossing, the train was stopped just short of it, and the crossing lights deactivated right as I got there. So an emergency brake application was out of the question. Crew running out of hours, maybe?... Despite being close to Barrie, this seems like a random location to leave a train, on single track, and Baxter siding being less than 5 miles south of here. Whatever the reason, I decided to take advantage of this opportunity by taking a long exposure of 101. Light pollution is from Barrie's south end.

Great shot man. Very moody.
This is what Utopia looks like?
Thanks Kevin, and yes Joe, Utopia is very ironically named. There’s practically nothing here, just a few farms. The north end of it, however, has a little yard though that has a few old Geeps.
