The time is 12:45 and CN/VIA Turbo 61 has arrived on Track 1, while CN Mountain 6060 is preparing to depart with a Santa Special for CN Employees and their family on a frosty Dec 10, 1977.

So very much has changed in 37 years.

  1. Wow, two very amazing “classics” in one shot! Beautiful!!

  2. Beautifully composed and captured Steve! The ‘past’ and the ‘future’ in one amazing shot! – Ken

  3. Great picture Steve ! The green, black & gold so much more elegant than the VIA “yellow bullet”. Which one lasted longer – the 6060 can be seen in Stettler AB and the yellow turbo is now hair pins and paper clips. Long may the 6060 reign, even if a static display. John
