Caption: A trainee on Wolverton to Hagey turn T72 (CPR Cambridge/Toyota yard) is getting instruction on the next move - due to a work block on the Galt subdivision T72 will tie down on the CN/GEXR Fergus spur (at far left) for the night. Pass switch, throw switch for the Fergus, return switch to normal and tie train down for the night, most notably applying the new procedures for securing the train.
This is the southernmost point for the GEXR/CN Fergus spur, and GEXR switches the plant and track at right. Years ago there was a CN/CP (GRR) interchange just beyond the underpass but the Fergus sub continued another 16 miles to Lynden Junction. Furthermore CN RDC's used this route between Toronto, Guelph, Palmerston over the Fergus until 1970. Anyone able and willing to make this shot a candidate for the time machine?

While I am likely to stand corrected on end of passenger service between Lynden and Guelph – Check out this diagram and amazing modelling job by Andreas Keller.
First: A diagram of days of ‘old from this location (Babcock and Wilcox is the name of the industry still served here)
