Interesting. First shot I have seen of a GO unit with strobe lights.
This is pre-GO Sub correct? Did GO have Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa stations along the Kingston Sub proper back then?
That F-unit and the single level coaches seem so far removed from todays’ GO equipment. Sorely missed! I’m fairly certain this is between Eglinton and Guildwood stations given the triple track.
Cam, GO train service terminated at Pickering Station until the GO Sub was built. They used the platform along the siding on the south side of the Kingston Sub. I can’t say that they never did any sort of test run east of there pre-GO Sub, but there was no scheduled service.
This looks like it may be near Scarborough Golf Club Road. The GO Sub. opened in December of 1988.
