Armed with his trusty Nikon camera, the late Del Rosamond could often be found around the stone CPR Pembroke station.  The locomotives he photographed would soon be destined for the scrap yard - the rust and faded paint confirmed that their days were numbered.  It wouldn't be long before the station disappeared as well.  In 2010, the CPR abandoned the Pembroke rail lines - negotiations are currently under way to make this a public walking trail.   1. I find photos like this fascinating when the railwaymen were shown working along side the steam locomotives.
