Caption: After making my weekly return trip down from Barrie, I noticed CN 330 passing through Stoney Creek. While I wasn't all too happy it was just a pair of CN locomotives, an SD70M-2 leader is something I'll stop for. Trying something different for once, here it is with CN 8824, 2669 and a short manifest passing through Beamsville. In front of the CN shack is a foreman ready to eye for any defects with the train. In less than five miles, a more technologically advanced scan will be done by a hotbox detector. This location holds many memories for me, as I used to railfan here frequently in my puny days, except I always stayed where the CN shack was. However, since then, security has heightened significantly, and my age is high enough now to receive a good scowl from any CN employee bitter towards railfans.
