Westbound just west of Rogers Pass. We were driving west, not far ahead of the train, when we saw this kind of lighting in the rear view mirror. We quickly pulled off the road, jumped out of the car, and looked for a shot. Unfortunately there were a bunch of bushes in the way. But by standing on the tip of my toes I could barely shoot over the bushes.

  1. Epic.

  2. Great Shot!

  3. Treeeee-mendous!!

  4. John, the bushes make the photo that much better – adds a perpendicular ‘frame’ of sorts and it’s even parted in the perfect spot. You did very well here. A Splendid photo.

  5. John, what a splendid picture ! Those majestic mountains dwarf the train, and the splash of sunlight on clean CP diesels plus a graffiti free grain car and the bushes in the foreground is the “icing on the cake”. Thank you.
