I’m such a sucker for these marvellous old images,. )
Poor 3505,she only had a few more years to go,Nice souvenir,I was 8 years old.
If I wasn’t in kindergarten that day, I probably watched it go by our house in Port Credit.
I don’t remember too many freights hauled by steam but I do remember the Commuter train behind steam on the Oakville Sub. My Dad rode to and from Port Credit and we would go and meet him at the station. In this photo the building in the background is still standing but it has been vacant for several years.
I would quibble over the “Mississauga” location. At the time this photo was taken Mississauga was the name of a golf course. Clarkson was a community and a post office.
Great Photo.
How could anybody take a torch to this locomotive?
