Caption: Since the organization of Conrail had taken hold of many of the North-East US's struggling old railroads, it was becoming increasingly difficult to see 'pure' paint schemes of the once-mighty Penn Central any more. This was a lucky catch, PC 9567 and 9576, not yet signified part of the new order with a "CR" stencilled on the carbody. Note the sun angle. As those who frequent the area would know, late afternoon/evening sun angles were real killers for shooting transfers heading back stateside. So, this shot looking northward as the power runs light on the International Bridge over River Rd. was the only option of the day.
