Cartier's 'Hart Jaune' is a little weathered but still looks pretty impressive in this November 2006 photo taken outside the huge car and locomotive facility in Port-Cartier.  I witnessed quite a variety of unique and 'one-off' MOW equipment and rolling stock at the facility on this visit.

  1. This kind of looks like an ex-CP car, what with the curved sides and all. I wonder what it started life as…

  2. Yep, definitely either ex-CP 2200 series coach or “Grove” series sleeper.

    Far end vestibule and steps looks original.

  3. Canadian Trackside Guide suggests the Hart Jaune is an ex-CP baggage car circa 1948.
