Caption: In the midst of a heavy snowstorm, CN 8006 and 5373 battle eastward with 320's train. Had it not been for the storm, the summit of the climb from Newcastle to Newtonville would almost be in sight, though calling it a summit is probably an overstatement as this is not exactly a legendary grade. It is, however, a slog for many an eastbound with the tendency of CN to assign just enough power to get over the road, not allow the engineer to exceed run 6 in order to conserve fuel, and even isolate a unit if it is deemed the train has an abundance of power. As I recall, this hogger was every bit of power that he could out of this pair; the whine of the turbo's being rather pronounced even with the snow deadening the sound. 1518hrs.
