Memories of trips past. Part of a circuitous trip through northern Ontario with good friend Kyle Stefanovic which highlighted the Budd cars in White River, an ACR chase out of Hawk Lake, two days on the ONR eventually heading to North Bay and working our way over to Sudbury. We spent a morning at Coniston which was dead so we went in search of OVR. We got as far as Hagar without seeing anything and decided we would wait at the crossing there. While being questioned by a local who lived close to the tracks we asked if anything had gone by; "Not yet son, but its usually through here around now." A few minutes passed and we heard horns in the distance and the OVR detector go off east of town. A chased ensued back to Coniston with RMPX 9426 and RLK 4096 leading the train of mostly paper products from the Tembec Mill in Temiskaming. Here we stopped alongside the Trans-Canada to take in this scene of the OVR 431 passing through the fall colours west of Hagar.
