Caption: The sun has come out, however the snow has yet to taper off as a storm off Georgian Bay moves on, revealing a winter wonderland at CN's Waubamik siding. Utilizing directional running rights over CN's Bala Sub, CP 220 cruises south behind an SD40-2F and five SD40-2's, with about 11 miles separating it from home rails of CP's Parry Sound Sub at Boyne. Of the locomotives powering this train, CP 9002, 5763, 5984, 5925, 6037 and 5966, only two, 5763 and 6037, as of November 6, 2013 are still listed on the active roster. Sadly, the 9002 was retired less than two years after this shot was taken. 1451hrs.

Excellent. Snowing and sun – very rare combination!
Brilliant shot Mike.
Awesome shot Mike, also of note the equipment that had been long forgotten in the background was pulled by Brandt truck from Waubamik to Capreol and scrapped by the old roundhouse in September.
Another classic, Mike. The broom is a nice touch!
Killer shot !
Thanks guys. One of those times when everything just kind of came together.
Nice Mike, very nice. I’m not a big CP fan but I do like their Red Barns. You’ve also caught Canada at a very good moment. Thanks for sharing this photo with us.
