The daily Englehart south to North Bay train was much more photogenic before those new SD75I locomotives came on the scene in late 1999. Here we see the train getting ready to depart Englehart station late on a cloudy afternoon June 5, 1997; with ONR 1736, 1730, 1804, 1802, 1800 and 1806 up front. (Two SD40-2s and 4 GP38-2s)
**Does anyone know why the old white-sided station was replaced and when?

  1. How I wish I could have duplicated this shot in the summer…or even see this paint scheme on a locomotive :)

  2. You sure sailed that boat of yours all over creation!
