Caption: On the weekend of August 17th, the cities of Port Coquitlam and Port Moody held their respective Centennial celebration events. CP assisted in these milestone events by providing the Royal Canadian Pacific power and a few coaches to the cities for public rides during the two days.
The consist included the CP 4106 & 4107 (GMD FP9u’s), and the CP 1900 (GMD F9B). None are original CP stock. The train had Power Car CP 96, Coach “Dominion” CP 101, Coach “Smokey Smith” CP 102, and Business Car “Mt. Royal” CP 73.
On Sunday the 18th, the train made two trips from Port Moody to Mission return. This photo is of the second trip East taken from Kennedy Road in Pitt Meadows BC looking West towards the Pitt River Bridge at mile 109.6 on the CP Cascade Sub.
