Big Blue over the Lachine Canal Long after Conrail had been divided up between CSX and Norfolk Southern, but before they repainted all their ex-Conrail engines, it was still possible to see Conrail painted engines in Montreal. Here we see NS 8401 leading a train southbound over CP's Rockfield bridge. NS 8401 is a Dash8-40CW which was built by GE as CR 6199 in 1993. Trailing unit is NS 9523.
