Caption: Back when the F59PH ruled GO Transit, there was no sleek new MP40PH-3C, no rush to shoot the entire 45 unit F59 fleet, nor was there actually any excitement in shooting one: they were on everything. On this sunny May day back in 2007, we find the carefully executed ballet of train movements in and out of Union Station at Bathurst St., with each one sporting an F59. GO 564 arrives inbound on Milton line train #156, while 534 departs for Willowbrook with Lakeshore line equipment move 472. In the background on the bypass tracks, 543 also waits to head to Willowbrook with equipment from Milton line train 152.
A year later, the new MP40's would be making inroads on many of these trains. 5 years later, and one would actually be excited to catch one of the 8 remaining F59's amidst the fleet of 57 new MP40's. The torch has been passed, but the ballet at Bathurst Street continues.
