In my trips to 'the north' I was only lucky enough to shoot one ex-Algoma Central unit still in ACR paint on the road. Here Wisconsin Central SD40-2 #6005, ex-Algoma Central #187, is on the point of what will be the southbound freight out of Hawk Junction. The crew is getting ready to leave as their coolers, sitting on the nose of the unit, are moved into the cab.
