Caption: An end view of Grand River Railway electric passenger car 864, sitting outside the GRR - LE&N Galt Main Street Station (not to be confused with the CPR's own Galt Station to the north). The Galt Main Street Station was mile zero for both the LE&N and the GRR. The photo is looking north, 864 is facing north on the southbound track, and the light angle would make this a late morning photo. The car is likely off a LE&N Train north from Port Dover, train #5 to Kitchener.
In the background is the McDougall Foundry, a long-gone casting firm. CN's Fergus sub is barely visible to the right of the photo.
Photo taken by Cecil Hommerding, from the collection (Copyright) of Doug Leffler. Substantial caption information provided by George Roth et al with much thanks.
