Noteworthy:
February 14, 1984: A 25 car CN train derailed four miles west of Woodstock ( Beachville) causing $1 million damage. Half mile track torn up, propane tankers included in consist. Heavy rains blamed for weakening the track bed. Reportedly every spring new remnants of the derailment can be seen along the Beachville Thames River Trail – pushed up by the winter frost.

Remarkable shot. I cannot help but look at all those wages standing there watching.
I can’t say i remember seeing any remnants of the derailment, but I was not looking and that area has become overgrown with foliage
Interesting to go to historic wreck sites and look for traces left behind.
