Well, since the Special dedication locomotive featuring First Responders as painted up by the Norfolk Southern has moved on from the Buffalo pool, I guess this image is as good as it gets for me. After several trips down to Fort Erie for this early evening transfer train from Buffalo o Fort Erie and return, I managed this shot in the usual (for me) ho-hum weather. At least I got to see it. Personally, I think it looks great in any weather.

  1. Despite the weather, it’s a nice detail shot. Had the sun been out the locomotive would have been in the shadow of the bridge.

  2. Thanks, Mr. Smith. A few of you guys who were lucky enough to get a shot of this when the sun out know how difficult a good angle would be.

  3. Great catch!

  4. Engineers looking right at ya too

  5. There was some black and green NS locomotive on today, one of the green energy of future thingies…. guess there’s another commemorative yard engine to get now (I do believe there are a few of the green things though)

  6. The new eco paints have been on it several times. Tonight was an SD33, and there have been GPs in the same paint as well (matched pair of them even).
