Until the recent 'special paints' at Fort Erie, I found it had been awhile since I had seen anything "Heritage" come across on the transfer train. This shot is already 8 years ago; NS 8300 with 1068 in 'Erie' heritage paint wait in the rain for a 4 unit CP #246 led by CP 8703 to cross ahead of it.
Actually the rain sort of suits photos down in this area, as the image appears almost as depressing as this area itself has become. A real shame.

  1. Miss those NS C40-8′s….

  2. Very nice standard cab GE leader. I wonder if those were dwindling on the NS roster at the time. It seems there’s virtually no more of those engine types on NS nowadays.

  3. A Fort Erie meet…. just have to be there. Happens often enough.

  4. Not sure how the US crews ever operated those “standard” cabs. They are awful.
