Caption: To say the weather this day was brutal in an understatement, snow, extreme cold and severe wind. Yes in hindsight a great day to stay home but something convinced us to travel some snow filled roads to Milton to photograph CP 141 with a UP trailing waiting on a fresh crew. Considering there were a few trains around on CN we braved the windswept roads and headed to mile 30 hoping the partial tree cover would give us some shelter from the wind. Knowing that CN 399 was on the way we waited for one more train. Just before full cloud cover and darkness took over a pair of GE's punched through the swirling snow creating more of a dramatic image. I was glad though to finally head for my warm home.
