Caption: This is a relatively new vantage point in Hamilton, unfortunately sunny days do not work too well for this angle, so Saturday's dreary weather worked out well for this shot. This was a somewhat interesting GO train, being that it was the first of the summer Niagara Falls trains complete with bicycle equipped passenger cars. The windows of the cars for this service have bicycle images on them. The train is working its way through Hamilton junction, with the "cow path" and CP's Hamilton subdivision entering to the right and the Hamilton subdivision departing in the distance under the high level bridge.

Hi Marcus, very nice ! According to Metrolinx news release today, the first Niagara Falls bound GO train on Sat June 26/21 had over 200 passengers and 20 bicycles on board this train photographed by you – a good start for the re-inauguration of the summer week end GO train service. Also, an informative picture nicely showing the completed track work leading to Hamilton Jct., the new turnout for the CN “cow path” to CN’s Dundas Sub and the new 3rd track leading to Harbour West GO station. These GO trains are still by-passing this station which is unfortunate for Hamilton cyclists who might like to use the train to the Falls. Thank you very much for posting, John
Hopefully with time a connecting track will be built at John Street station for Niagara bound GO trains, surprised it wasn’t completed when the new station was built but I guess it wasn’t in the plans or budget.
