There was a time when CP would run unit Potash trains to Putnum. While six axle power isn’t allowed on the St. Thomas subdivision these trains would typically run to the siding at Coakley then leave the train for the four axle locals to gradually finish the trip to Putnum in sections. Here the unit train is seen rolling through the curve at mile 54 east of Killean with a SD40, SD40F and AC4400.
