Caption: The rather short lived influx of oil trains thru Niagara brought a lot of photographers out while it lasted. These trains became almost regular at two a week, plus return empties; and suddenly they were gone. What can be seen along the Galt sub nowadays are not only less frequent, they also lack the interesting power of the SD40-2 lashups.
This is a typical run, as seen approaching mile 23 and the Welland Yard; SOO 6033, ICE 6444, 6419 and CP 5964.
