The CP Hoadley sub was quite inactive between 2008-2010, until major work had been done replacing ties and putting down some new ballast. This is a shot of the work train from which ties were unloaded by a crane to be replaced later. The quality of the track prior to tie replacement is evident. Also, the train was going at literally 1 mph so the crane operator would have adequate time to pick up ties from the car ahead and drop them onto the ground where required.
