Caption: Sydney and Louisburg Railway 0-8-0 94 is seen here outside of the shop in 1961, with other S&L steamers visible outside, and tucked away in the roundhouse. 94 was built by Alco in 1944 for the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie as P&LE 8061, S&L bought her in November 1956 and renumbered her to 94 (one of 8 ex-P&LE steamers acquired by S&L around that time, numbered 88-95). S&L dieselized in the early 1960's with secondhand RS1's from SOO Line and Minneapolis & St Louis, as well as three new MLW RS23's, and 94 was eventually scrapped in November of 1961.
