Oranges, apples and bananas pass the iconic Galt train station. The morning's freezing rain clings to the railings of the lead unit...as does a bouquet...perhaps related to the missing decals. CP's recent train renumbering (the purpose of which still evades me except to confuse every single RTC and crew member with no other obvious accomplishment) means this is former 244 with has dropped most of its autoracks at Wolverton. Where this collection of power goes from Toronto will likely get a lot of scrutiny.

  1. Neat. What’s with the bouquet of flowers? It’s getting weirder and weirder…

  2. Perhaps crews get flowers if they make it over the road within their duty day. Alas, this one didn’t, dying at the 427 Hogger’s last trip, and they didn’t take them off?

  3. Is the BNSF unit owned bt CP now? Also a burnt out ditch light.

  4. Btw. I caught 8448 at Lambton in Toronto.

  5. maybe they did…the “one ditch light out” seems to be a new tradition.
