Caption: One of the scenes that has so embedded itself in my mind when I think of the North is that of the VIA Budds stopping at Cartier. It seems that there is always a gang waiting for this little train. Once you sort it all out, perhaps there are not all that many riders, and there is a heck of a lot of baggage..but still...it is a jovial atmosphere amongst the locals and is a nice break between the parade of freight trains with, outside of crew changes, their impersonal passing. This image is of a typical day, although not as busy as I have often witnessed it.
Units are VIA 6205, 6250.....destination White River.
