Caption: Mayday!!!! Everything appears normal as westbound CP train #235 with CP 5773, 9014, 5648, 4652, 9001, 9000 and 9018 crosses the Trent River bridge (mile 103) on its way to Toronto from Montreal. But not much later on, 4652 begins to suffer from wheel slip as the train approaches Oshawa. It gets worse, and a motorist passing by sees heavy smoke coming from this unit and calls 9-1-1. At mile 174, East Siding switch, the #1 traction-motor combo (TM & wheel set) overheats, axle breaks, and the train grinds to a halt near Park Rd in Oshawa, trailing 4 units and 27 of the 111 cars derail. Over 1,000 people were evacuated. No lives lost, but it was quite the mess to clean up. Back at Trenton, from my view at Mr. Pilion, the "Ugly sister" 4652 stood out in this consist, despite the fact this train had FOUR 'red barns' up front.

Great shot like all you post here.
Nice, talk about cornering the market on red barns on one train!
